The ways this extra long necklace may be worn is only limited by your fashion imagination. Victorian black glass beads are threaded on a 71" gold filled chain. The necklace is finished with a gold filled dog hook. This strand of beads can be worn doubled or tripled, and you can hang all your favourite fobs and lockets from the dog hook. Stringing the beads on a chain is more secure than silk, the metal supports the weight of the glass. This necklace was likely worn originally with a muff, one of our favorite historical accessories. Circa 1850.

Details.....The necklace measures 71" long. The beads are 6.9mm and the hook is 0.88" long. In Very Good antique condition. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique pieces, we consider it part of the charm.
